I saw Tron in theatres with the whole 3D classes shebang and I gotta say I was not that impressed. Except for the light cycle scene – that was pretty awesome. What I was really looking forward to was the Daft Punk soundtrack but that too was less than impressive. I guess they were going for a legit movie soundtrack rather than a Daft Punk album but still…a little disappointing.
Which is why I’m pretty psyched for this remix album that Walt Disney Records is putting out called Tron: Legacy Reconfigured or to be accurate (R3CONFIGUR3D). It came out last week and features remixes by The Glitch Mob, Moby, The Crystal Method, Pretty Lights and many many others. Might be Disney’s way of making an extra couple bucks, but hey, I’m not complaining. Check out the Glitch Mob remix of Derezzed.

The Glitch Mob Tribute
It seems to be a new trend for these new electronic artists remixing a lot of classic songs and this seems true on this tracks. The Glitch Mob was formed by 4 Cali kids in 2004, but I think they had a big help this past summer when their music was featured twice on America’s Got Talent (see video after break). The GM is one of my more favorite electronic groups and after listening to a few of their tracks on their website, you’ll see this remix has their staple sound all of it.
