K-X-P, Helsinki Synth Trio

I don’t know much about these guys except that they’re from Helsinki, Finland and they have a lot of energy fueling their songs. Hearing the same old DJs and eltro-pop bands nowadays is getting pretty old which is why I appreciate the authenticity I hear coming from K-X-P and I hope to hear more on their debut album. Check their MySpace out for more tunage and listen to this track ‘Pocket’ – it’s what got me hooked.

Matthew Dear’s Venture into a Black City

November 23, 2010 § Leave a comment

Matthew Dear’s songs are plagued with melancholy, darkness and hints of the most peaceful lullabies.  On 2007’s Asa Breed his words also told stories of love and other conventions that the every day human could relate to as opposed to his latest release, Black City from August of this year, leaves the recognizable emotions behind in exchange for paranoia and fear.  Either way his songs are still electro-pop at its finest.  This song “Deserter” is from Asa Breed.
