Balkan Goodness – La Cherga

Woke up this morning with Balkan music blaring in my head for no reason. Figured why not spend a Friday sharing some of that good Gypsy (pun intended) music from around Eastern Europe. This group is La Cherga, based out of Austria. 2008 brought their debut ‘Fake No More’ which introduced the world to a unique electronic dub Balkan style. Now they’ll soon be releasing (sometime in June) their sophomore album ‘Revolve’ which features this catchy single. Even though the female lead singer’s voice is quite deep, there is something fitting about that on top of the Balkan upbeat.
